NORMA JEAN MURRAY November 20, 1921 - February 9, 2017 Peacefully, Norma passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at the Maples Care Centre with family at her bedside. Norma was predeceased by her husband Dave. Mom is survived by her son Gary Murray (Gwen), grandchildren Trisha, Devon, Kelly and Matthew (Christa), great-grandchildren Rylie, Zachery, Brody, Jackson and William, daughter Susan Heidebrecht (Claus), and grandson Christopher (Stephanie). Also leaving numerous nieces, nephews and friends to mourn her passing. Norma lived a full and interesting life. After marrying Dad they moved to Northern Manitoba. Returning to Winnipeg and buying their home in St. Vital and starting a family. Mom worked off and on for the T. Eaton Company. Once the children were out of the home Mom accompanied Dad overseas while he worked with the C.I.D.A on a farming project in Tanzania, Africa. Mom volunteered a great deal in the community to name a few C.N.I.B., United Way, Heart and Stroke, and the Regent Park United Church. All the while loving and caring for her children and family. The family would like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff of the Maples Care Centre for their outstanding care and compassion. As per Mom's wishes there will not be a funeral. A private interment will take place in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens at a later date. Donations in Mom's memory can be made to the charity of your choice.
