ROY ALEXANDER MCLEOD

1949-2016

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Roy Alexander McLeod on October 4th 2016, at the age of 66 (October 18, 1949) surrounded by his family, Denie Michaud (Euan Garrido), & Richard Michaud. Roy was predeceased by his mother Audrey Bushby and his Aunt Islay Bushby. Roy was always a proud Scotsman, and loved the History of Scotland & Canada. He belonged to many groups, and his accomplishments were: President of Lord Selkirk Association of Rupertsland, President of United Scottish Association of Winnipeg, President of Winnipeg Robert Burns Club, President of Clan MacLeod, President of Bleak House, Past Chief of Melrose Camp Sons of Scotland. Roy also loved collecting model trains, & books. He loved travelling to South and North America, & Europe. Anyone that knew Roy, knew how kind hearted he was. He was always up for a good conversation about History and current events -- along with his tea and fruit pies. His warmth and welcoming personality will be greatly missed everyday. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, October 14 at Holy Trinity Church, 256 Smith Street, with a burial at Elmwood Cemetery thereafter. Reception at 2:00 p.m. Cropo Funeral Chapel 1442 Main Street. Special thanks to Roy's close friends for all they have done for Roy, especially Janet Thompson, his personal home care team & Concordia Hospital for care and love you have shown Roy. We can never thank you enough.
