DR. H. KEITH EASTWOOD Dr. H. Keith Eastwood peacefully passed away at home on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 in his 78th year, predeceased by his loving parents Herbert and Beatrice Eastwood, first wife Donnie and sister Cynthia. Keith is fondly remembered by his wife Peggy; son Fred, his wife Layla and their sons Shawn, Michael and Kevin; daughter Janet, her husband Bruce Ayers and their children Brett, Hunter and Kelsey; daughter Sue, her husband Lance Paish and their children Zach, Luke and Megan; daughter Rhonda McAmmond and children Mitchell, Connor and Ben; and by extended family Doreen and Peter Howe and their children David, Stephen and Jane; Helmuth and his wife Gerrie Zeeuwen; Hans Munsters and Janet Knight; Dick and Nancy Zeeuwen; Elis and Bruce Purslow, Kathy and Tim Daigle. Keith received his Bachelors degree from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario in 1958, and his doctorate in Nuclear Physics also from McMaster University in 1964. Keith worked tirelessly at Bell Northern Research in Ottawa, Superior Electric in Montreal and finally as director of fibre optic research and development at Canada Wire and Cable retiring in 1996. Keith's greatest legacy was his devotion to his extended family. A funeral service will take place 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 16 at St. Luke's Anglican Church, 130 Nassau St. North, Winnipeg. Mourners may choose to make a donation to the Donnie Eastwood Memorial Bursary at St. John's College, 92 Dysart Rd., Winnipeg, MB R3T 2M5.
