PATRICIA M. MACKAY May 1, 1933 - February 14, 2011 We are extremely sad to announce the sudden passing of Patricia May MacKay Nani on Monday, February 14, 2011 at Selkirk General Hospital at the age of 77 years. She was predeceased by her husband Clifford (Bruce) Bridger in 1960; and by her parents, Harry and Catherine MacKay; as well as her sister Kathleen Lambert. She is survived by her daughter Bonnie Baerbig (Reinhardt); her son James Foster (Kerry); granddaughters, Laura and Jenna Baerbig; as well by her sisters, Carol Thomson (John) Christine Knight and all her nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Pat was born in Winnipeg and moved to Ontario and Quebec where she served in the Air Force before returning to Winnipeg. She enjoyed working at the Bank of Montreal, Manitoba Taxation Centre and the Scotia Data Centre before retiring and spending winters in Nokomis, Florida. She enjoyed her many years at her cottage at Victoria Beach with her family and many friends. Pat was a very kind and caring person who was always concerned about others before herself. She was always willing and able to help anyone that she could. She had developed many friendships throughout her life as well as those that she had met in Florida, Country Villas and volunteering with C.O.P.S., Speed watch, the Scottish Pavilion and the Red Hat Society. No one can forget her infectious smile and generous bubbly personality. We will miss you greatly and no one can ever take your place as the Best Mom and Best Nani in the whole world! Patricia requested to have a celebration of her life rather than a funeral. A luncheon- party will be held on Sunday, February 20 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Country Villas club house off Garven Road in the town of Birds Hill, East St. Paul. All of her friends and family are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, a charitable donation can be made in her name to the Winnipeg Humane Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
